Lambda Sensor - oxygen sensor for the middle position on the right-hand cylinder bank, within the exhaust emissions control and engine management system.

The sensor measures residual oxygen content in the exhaust stream at its mounting position and feeds the engine control module, which uses the signal for closed-loop fuel trim and catalyst monitoring on that bank. Fitted to 3.0L supercharged V6 petrol and 5.0L V8 petrol engines.

Oxygen sensors are bank- and position-specific: this is the right-hand middle unit and is not interchangeable with the front or rear sensors.
