Glow Plug Control Unit - the switching and control module of the diesel pre-heat system, wired between the battery supply and the glow plugs.

The unit receives its command from the engine control module and switches regulated current to the glow plugs, managing pre-heat before cranking and post-heat after start-up to stabilise combustion and reduce cold-start smoke and emissions. Glow plug circuit condition is reported back to the engine control module, so a failed unit typically presents as a hard cold start together with a stored pre-heat circuit fault.

Specified for 2.0L four-cylinder AJ200D / AJ20D4 diesel applications.
