What is the ERR3785LR gasket for?
The ERR3785LR is the inlet manifold gasket for the 2.5 litre 300TDi diesel engine. It seals the joint between the inlet manifold and the cylinder head so the engine draws air and turbo boost without leaks.
Which vehicles does it fit?
This fits the 300TDi diesel in the Defender (1987-2006), Discovery 1 (to VIN MA081992) and Range Rover Classic (1992-1994, from VIN JA610294). Confirm you have the 300TDi engine before ordering.
What are the signs the gasket has failed?
A failed inlet manifold gasket on the 300TDi lets air and boost leak, which shows as poor running, lost power, a whistle under boost and sometimes higher fuel use. Renewing it restores a proper induction seal.
When should it be replaced?
Fit a new gasket whenever the inlet manifold is removed from the 300TDi. Clean the manifold and head faces first and always use a new gasket, as a reused one will not seal the induction joint reliably.
