Q: Which Range Rover Classic variants does this lock set fit?

This lock set fits the Range Rover Classic 1986-1991 four-door Station Wagon, up to VIN CA273922. Check your VIN plate against that cut-off before ordering, since Land Rover changed lock hardware partway through the Classic production run.

Q: Why are Land Rover lock sets usually bought as a set rather than one lock at a time?

Lock sets are usually bought complete so every barrel on the vehicle matches one key. Replacing a single lock on a Range Rover Classic typically leaves you carrying two keys, or means paying a locksmith to re-pin the new barrel to your existing key.

Q: What should I check before ordering this lock set?

Check your VIN first, since the MUC2085 applies up to VIN CA273922 on the Range Rover Classic four-door Station Wagon. Also confirm your vehicle still has its original lock hardware, as Classics of this age have often had locks replaced or swapped over the years.
