Mass Air Flow Sensor measures the mass of air drawn into the engine and reports it to the engine control module for fuel metering.

It mounts in the air cleaner outlet, downstream of the air filter, within the intake air duct. The signal sets injection quantity and, on diesel applications, helps govern EGR flow.
