Output Shaft Oil Seal seals the transmission output shaft where it exits the case on the ZF 9HP48 / 9HP50 nine-speed automatic gearbox (all-wheel-drive builds). It runs against the rotating output flange, retaining transmission fluid and keeping dirt and moisture out of the shaft bore.

This is an external service seal, renewed whenever the output flange or driveshaft coupling is disturbed.
