Exhaust Gas Pressure Sensor for the diesel exhaust aftertreatment system.

The sensor is connected by take-off pipes to the exhaust upstream and downstream of the diesel particulate filter and reports the pressure differential across it to the engine control module. The ECM uses that signal to calculate soot loading in the filter and to initiate and monitor DPF regeneration.

A failed sensor, or blocked or split take-off pipework, typically presents as a DPF warning message, restricted engine performance or repeated regeneration attempts. Fitted to 2.0L Ingenium four-cylinder diesel applications (AJ200 / AJ20D4) with a diesel particulate filter.
