Door Handle Gasket - sealing gasket for the exterior door handle and lock assembly, part of the door closures group.

It sits between the handle escutcheon and the outer door skin, closing the aperture through which the handle mechanism passes so that water and road dirt cannot enter the door cavity or reach the latch and lock actuator. The same gasket is used at the front and rear door handle positions.

A perished or displaced gasket allows water past the handle aperture, which is a common cause of damp inside the door and of latch and actuator corrosion.
