Brake Pad Set - Front - friction pads for the front disc brake assembly.

The pads locate in the caliper carrier on either side of the brake disc. Under hydraulic pressure the caliper pistons press the friction material against the disc faces, converting the vehicle's momentum into heat, which is then shed by the disc into the passing airflow.

Friction material is a consumable. Pads are replaced as a complete axle set so that braking effort stays balanced from side to side. Inspect the disc faces for scoring and check that the caliper slide pins move freely whenever pads are renewed.

Supplied as a front brake pad set covering both front calipers.
