O-Ring for the high-pressure diesel fuel injection pump.

The ring seals the joint between the pump body and its mounting face on the engine, preventing leakage where the pump is clamped into position.

This is a single-use elastomeric seal. Once it has been compressed and heat-cycled in service it takes a permanent set and will not seal reliably again, so it should be renewed every time the pump is removed or refitted rather than transferred to the replacement.

Applies to the 2.0L AJ200, 2.0L AJ20D4 / AJ21D4 and 3.0L AJ20D6 diesel engines.

Seat the ring square in its groove and avoid stretching or twisting it during assembly, and take care not to nick it against the pump spigot as the pump is drawn into place.
