Hex Nut is an M6 flange nut with a 10mm hexagonal drive.
It retains wheel arch liner and splashguard panels on their mounting studs. The integral flange spreads the clamping load across a wide area of the panel face, so no separate washer is required and the panel is held without local distortion.
These nuts are frequently damaged on removal and are treated as a replace-on-disturbance fixing.
