Brake Caliper Cooling Duct from the front bumper assembly, forming part of the front brake cooling airflow path.

The moulded duct picks up ram air entering the lower bumper aperture and channels it rearward and inboard onto the front brake caliper and disc. Directed airflow across the disc face and caliper body limits pad and brake fluid temperatures during sustained descents and repeated heavy braking, reducing the risk of fade and of localised disc heat spotting.

The duct mounts behind the front valance and is routinely damaged by kerb strikes, road debris and careless bumper removal. A cracked, distorted or detached duct no longer directs air at the brake corner, so it should be renewed whenever the original is found broken or missing.
