Frequently asked questions

What is the STC8919AA tow rope used for?
The STC8919AA tow rope is a recovery towing rope that links a casualty vehicle to a recovery vehicle for on-road and off-road recovery. It's an OEM Land Rover towing accessory, designed to pull a disabled vehicle clear rather than to free a stuck one.
Which Land Rover models is this tow rope suitable for?
This tow rope is a Land Rover accessory fitted across the Defender up to 2016, Discovery 1, Range Rover Classic, Range Rover L405, Range Rover Sport L494, Range Rover Evoque L538 and Range Rover Velar. As a recovery accessory it isn't vehicle-specific, so it suits most Land Rover applications.
Is this a kinetic snatch strap or a standard tow rope?
This is a standard tow rope for towing a disabled vehicle at low speed, not a kinetic (snatch) recovery strap. Kinetic straps are built to stretch and yank a stuck vehicle free, so don't use this rope for snatch recovery. Use it to tow a casualty vehicle to a recovery vehicle.
