EGR Valve for the exhaust gas recirculation system on the 4.4L V8 petrol engine.

The valve meters a controlled portion of exhaust gas from the exhaust side back into the intake, lowering peak combustion temperature to reduce the formation of oxides of nitrogen (NOx). It opens and closes in response to engine load and operating conditions under control of the engine management system.
