Vacuum control valve - an electrically operated solenoid valve in the engine vacuum circuit.

The engine control module energises the valve to switch manifold vacuum through to the actuator it serves, so that device can be opened or closed on demand rather than following manifold pressure directly.

Fitted to petrol engines - 5.0L V8 (AJ133) and 3.0L supercharged V6.
