Bearing Circlip is the retaining ring used in the front and rear wheel hub and bearing assembly.

It seats in the machined groove of the hub carrier bore and locates the pressed-in wheel bearing axially, preventing the bearing outer race from shifting in its bore under cornering and braking loads.

Renew the circlip whenever the wheel bearing is removed or replaced, and check that it is fully seated around the whole circumference of the groove before the hub is reassembled.
