Magnetic Oil Drain Plug - M14 x 21 sump drain plug in the engine lubrication system.

The plug seals the drain aperture in the oil sump and is removed at every oil change. Its magnetic tip collects ferrous wear debris circulating in the oil and holds it clear of the pick-up strainer and oil pump; the material accumulated on the magnet at each service also gives an early indication of abnormal internal wear.
