The pads are the friction elements of the rear disc brake circuit. They are clamped by the caliper pistons against both faces of the rear brake disc to generate braking torque, and are a wear item that is renewed as a complete axle set so that braking effort remains balanced from side to side.

Supplied as an axle set covering both rear calipers. The brake discs should be checked for thickness and run-out whenever the pads are renewed.
