Upper Inlet Manifold Gasket sealing the upper section of the inlet manifold assembly on the 4.4L V8 EFI petrol engine.

It forms the joint between the upper and lower inlet manifold sections, maintaining a sealed air path into the cylinder heads. This is the old-type gasket for the 4.4L EFI engine and does not fit the 4.2L V8 Supercharged.

Does this manifold gasket fit the 4.2 Supercharged engine?
No. This is the old-type upper inlet manifold gasket for the 4.4 V8 EFI petrol engine only and does not fit the 4.2 V8 Supercharged. It suits the Discovery 3, Range Rover L322 and Range Rover Sport L320 (2005-2009), so confirm your engine is the naturally aspirated 4.4 EFI.
When is the upper inlet manifold gasket replaced?
This gasket is renewed whenever the upper inlet manifold is separated from the lower section on the 4.4 V8, such as during intake work or to cure an air leak at the manifold joint. Fitting a new gasket on reassembly restores the seal into the cylinder heads.
