Brake Disc - Vented - Rear, supplied as an axle pair. Part of the foundation braking system on the rear axle.

The disc provides the friction surface that the rear brake pads clamp against, converting the vehicle's momentum into heat under braking. It bolts to the rear hub and rotates with the road wheel, running inside the rear brake caliper.

Vented construction: cooling vanes run between the two friction faces, drawing air through the disc so heat is shed more quickly during repeated or sustained braking.

Discs are replaced in axle pairs so braking remains balanced side to side. Fit new brake pads at the same time and bed the new surfaces in before hard use.

It's a vented rear brake disc pair for the Discovery 3 (2005-2009), Discovery 4 (2010-2016) and Range Rover Sport L320 (2005-2009). Internal cooling vanes between the two friction faces draw air through the disc to shed heat faster during sustained braking.
Do both rear discs need replacing together?
Yes, always replace this disc as an axle pair. Fitting only one side leaves uneven friction and disc thickness across the rear axle, which affects braking balance. Fit new rear pads at the same time.

What are the signs this rear disc needs replacing?
Look for a pulsing brake pedal under hard braking, visible grooves or lips on the friction face, or thickness below the minimum spec stamped on the disc hub. On the Discovery 3/4 and RR Sport, corrosion between the vanes can also reduce cooling efficiency over time.
