Con Rod Bearing Set - a set of big-end bearing shells for the connecting rod journals of the crankshaft assembly.

The shells are clamped between the connecting rod big-end and its cap and run directly on the crankshaft rod journal, carrying the pressure-fed oil film that separates the two. Supplied in standard size, for a crankshaft whose rod journals are at original diameter and have not been reground undersize.

For the 3.6L TDV8 and 4.4L SDV8 diesel engines. Big-end shells are renewed as a complete set whenever the connecting rods are disturbed.
