The thermostat regulates coolant flow between the engine and radiator. It stays closed during warm-up to bring the engine to operating temperature quickly, then opens to admit coolant circulation once temperature is reached. This unit fits the 4.4L V8 and 4.2L V8 Supercharged (AJ-V8) petrol engines.
