Water Outlet Connection - the coolant outlet housing on the 2.7L V6 diesel engine, incorporating the thermostat that controls coolant flow to the radiator.
It mounts at the engine coolant outlet and forms the take-off point for the radiator hose. The thermostat stays shut while the engine is cold so that coolant circulates only within the engine and heater circuit, bringing the engine and oil up to temperature quickly, then opens progressively as coolant temperature rises to route flow through the radiator and hold a stable running temperature under load.
Supplied as a complete unit, thermostat and outlet connection together.
