Ignition Coil for the 5.0L V8 petrol engine (AJ133), part of the ignition coil and spark plug assembly.

This is a coil-on-plug unit: it mounts directly onto the spark plug and steps the low-voltage primary feed up to the firing voltage needed at the plug electrode. Each coil is switched individually by the engine management system, so ignition timing and dwell are controlled cylinder by cylinder.

Supplied as a single coil. One coil is fitted per cylinder, so eight are required for a complete set on the V8.

A failing coil normally presents as a misfire, rough running under load, or a fault code naming one specific cylinder.
