Inlet Manifold Gasket - seals the inlet manifold to the cylinder head on the 5.0L V8 AJ133 naturally aspirated petrol engine.

The gasket closes the joint between the manifold runners and the induction ports in the head, keeping the induction tract airtight downstream of the throttle. A leak at this joint admits unmetered air, which shows as lean fuel trims, an unstable or raised idle and often an audible hiss at idle.

This joint is always resealed with a new gasket rather than the original reused whenever the manifold is removed.

For the naturally aspirated engine. Supercharged 5.0 V8 installations use a different gasket.
