Lambda Sensor - right-hand bank exhaust gas oxygen sensor for the 5.0L AJ133 V8 petrol engine, mounted in the front pipe and catalyst section of the exhaust system.

The sensing tip sits in the exhaust stream and produces a signal that varies with the residual oxygen content of the gas passing it. The engine management system reads that signal to hold the air/fuel mixture under closed-loop control and to monitor the exhaust after-treatment. Each cylinder bank is sensed separately; this is the right-hand bank unit, and the left-hand bank takes its own sensor, LR013661.

The RH lambda (oxygen) sensor measures oxygen in the exhaust on the right-hand bank of the 5.0 V8 petrol engine. The ECM uses its signal to trim the air/fuel mixture for emissions and running.
Which vehicles use this RH lambda sensor?
This RH sensor fits the 5.0 V8 petrol (AJ133) in the Discovery 4 (2010-2016, naturally aspirated) and Range Rover Sport L320 (2010-2013, NA and supercharged). Petrol V8 only, not diesel.
What's the difference between the RH and LH lambda sensor?
This is the RH (right-hand bank) sensor. The 5.0 V8 uses a separate sensor per bank, so check which bank you need. The LH equivalent is a different part number.
What are the signs of a failing lambda sensor?
A failing lambda sensor typically triggers the engine warning light, rough idle, poor fuel economy, or a fault code for the RH bank. On the 5.0 V8 a lazy sensor upsets fuelling on that bank.
