Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor operates within the exhaust after-treatment system on diesel engines equipped with a Diesel Particulate Filter.

Installed in the exhaust line at the particulate filter, it reports gas temperature to the engine management system, which uses the signal to control filter regeneration and to guard the after-treatment components against over-temperature.

Supplied as an individual repair part; the sensor is also serviced as part of a larger assembly.
