Tensioner Pulley - Front - the tensioner pulley of the front accessory drive, running on the auxiliary drive belt to maintain correct belt tension.

The pulley turns on a sealed bearing under load from the tensioner arm, taking up belt stretch and damping the tension fluctuations produced by the crankshaft and the driven accessories. A dry or notchy bearing announces itself as a rumble or squeal from the front of the engine and, left unattended, lets the belt flutter and lose tension.

For 3.0L V6 turbocharged diesel applications built with ACE (Active Cornering Enhancement) hydraulic roll control.
