Brake Disc - rear axle, internally vented, for the 5.0L supercharged V8 petrol (AJ133) installation.

The disc provides the friction surface that the rear brake pads clamp against, converting the vehicle's momentum into heat. The vanes cast between the two friction faces pump air through the disc as it turns, carrying that heat away and limiting brake fade under repeated or heavy braking.

Two are used per vehicle. Discs are replaced as an axle pair so braking remains even from side to side, and new pads should be fitted at the same time so the friction material beds to the fresh surface.
