Turbocharger for the 3.6L TDV8 diesel engine, part of the forced-induction system. This is the left-hand (LH) unit: the 3.6 TDV8 is a twin-turbocharged V8, with one turbocharger dedicated to each cylinder bank.

Driven by exhaust gas from the manifold, the turbine spins the compressor to force additional air into the engine, raising power output and combustion efficiency. It sits on the exhaust side of the left cylinder bank and feeds the charge-air (intercooler) circuit on the intake side.
