Front Brake Disc - vented, 360 mm diameter, coated. Sits in the front brake discs and calipers assembly.

The disc bolts to the front hub flange and forms the friction surface that the front caliper pads clamp under braking, converting wheel rotation into heat. Internal vanes between the two friction faces draw cooling air radially through the disc, shedding that heat to limit fade and pad glazing during sustained or heavy braking.

The hub boss, outer edges and vane passages carry a protective coating that holds off surface corrosion on the areas the pads never sweep clean. The coating is worn from the friction band itself during the first few brake applications.

Nominal friction-face thickness is 30 mm, with an overall height of 62 mm including the hub boss. Replace once wear reaches the 27 mm minimum, or earlier if the disc is scored, heat-cracked or outside run-out limits. Discs are replaced as an axle pair and bedded in with fresh pads; the matching front pad set is SFP500070.
