Front Brake Disc - a vented front-axle brake rotor forming part of the front disc-brake assembly.

The disc is bolted to and rotates with the front wheel hub. Under braking the caliper presses the brake pads against both friction faces, converting the vehicle's momentum into heat. Its internally vented construction places cooling vanes between the two faces, drawing air through the rotor to dissipate that heat and resist brake fade during sustained or heavy braking.
