Transfer box shift control module - the electronic control unit that manages high and low range selection in the two-speed transfer case.

Mounted on the transfer case, the module takes the driver's range request together with road speed and driveline data from the vehicle network, then commands the transfer case shift motor to move the range selection mechanism. It also reports transfer case faults to the diagnostic system.

Fitted to vehicles with the ZF 6HP26 six-speed automatic and the ZF S6-53 six-speed manual gearbox. A failed module commonly presents as a range change that will not complete, or a permanent transfer case warning on the instrument pack.
