Secondary Drive Belt Tensioner for the auxiliary belt drive of the 4.4L AJ-V8 petrol engine.

These V8 engines use a two-belt accessory drive; this is the tensioner for the secondary belt. It maintains correct tension on its belt, taking up slack so the belt grips its pulleys without slipping and the driven accessories turn reliably.

A worn tensioner bearing or weak spring allows the belt to slip, causing squeal, accelerated belt wear and loss of accessory drive.
