The air suspension height sensors use a mechanical linkage rod to measure ride height and communicate position to the Electronic Air Suspension (EAS) control module. When a suspension lift is fitted, the standard-length rod causes the EAS to read ride height incorrectly, leading to fault codes or continuous self-levelling.
