Fuel Pump Module is the in-tank unit that draws fuel from the tank and delivers it under pressure to the engine fuel rail.

The module carries the electric fuel pump together with the tank-mounted level sender in a single assembly, so it serves both the fuel supply circuit and the fuel gauge signal. It is fitted through the tank access aperture and seals against the tank face. This module is specified for petrol applications only; diesel installations use a different fuel delivery arrangement and are not served by this part.

Symptoms that point to the module include extended cranking, low or unstable fuel rail pressure, a loss of power under sustained load, and a fuel gauge that no longer tracks consumption.
