Brake Pads - Front - friction pads for the front axle of the uprated Brembo front brake assembly.

The pads sit in the fixed Brembo caliper and clamp the ventilated front disc, generating the braking torque at the front axle. This brake package uses a larger caliper and a larger-diameter disc than the standard-performance front brake, so the backplate geometry and friction area are specific to it and do not interchange with standard front pads.

Supplied as a front axle set, covering both the left- and right-hand calipers.

Frequently asked questions

What are the LR160069 front brake pads for?

The LR160069 front brake pads suit the uprated Brembo front brake package on the Range Rover L405 (2013+) and Range Rover Sport L494 (2014+). They sit in the fixed Brembo caliper and clamp the larger ventilated front disc. The backplate and friction area are specific to this package and don't interchange with standard front pads.

How many sets do I need?

One LR160069 set covers the front axle, both left and right calipers. Brake pads are renewed as a full axle set so braking stays balanced side to side. Check the disc thickness and the caliper condition when you change them.

Which Range Rover versions does this fit?

On the Range Rover L405 it fits the uprated front brakes from VIN (V)GA000001, including Autobiography Black and SV Autobiography. On the Range Rover Sport L494 it fits the SVR from VIN (V)FA000001. Confirm your brake package and VIN, as standard brakes use different pads.

When should these front pads be replaced?

Front brake pads typically need replacing when the friction material wears thin, braking feels reduced, or you hear grinding. Worn pads score the disc and cut braking performance. Renew as a full axle set with the caliper checked.
