Lower chain guide for the auxiliary drive chain, part of the timing gear assembly on the 5.0L V8 petrol engine (AJ133).

The guide runs against the slack side of the auxiliary drive chain, holding it in line and damping the whip that would otherwise accelerate chain and sprocket wear. Its wear face is a service item and is normally renewed together with the chain and tensioner whenever the timing gear is opened up.
