Brand Autotec Components
Oil Separator Reservoir for the 3.0L V6 diesel, part of the crankcase ventilation circuit within the engine emission control system.

Crankcase blow-by gases pass through the separator, where entrained oil mist is condensed out and collected before draining back to the sump; the cleaned gas is returned to the intake. The crankcase breather pipework connects at the top of the unit.

A blocked or failed separator raises crankcase pressure, which typically shows as oil leaks at the engine seals and increased oil consumption. Check the connecting breather pipework for splits and hardening at the same time.

Frequently asked questions

What does the LR013532 oil separator reservoir do?
The LR013532 is the crankcase ventilation oil separator reservoir for the 3.0 litre V6 diesel. It separates oil mist from crankcase blow-by gases so cleaner gas returns to the intake and oil drains back, part of the engine's emission control system.
Which system is this oil separator part of?
The oil separator reservoir is part of the crankcase (engine) ventilation system on the 3.0 V6 diesel. It's plumbed into the crankcase breather circuit that routes blow-by gases back to the intake under emission control.
What are the signs the oil separator needs replacing?
A cracked or clogged oil separator can cause excess oil consumption, oil in the intake, whistling from a split housing, or crankcase pressure faults on the 3.0 V6 diesel. Replacing the separator restores correct crankcase ventilation.
Which vehicles does this fit?
This oil separator fits the Discovery 4 and 5, Range Rover L405, Range Rover Sport L320 and L494, and Range Rover Velar with the 3.0 litre V6 diesel. Confirm your engine by VIN before ordering.
