Ignition Coil for the 3.0L AJ20P6 / AJ22P6 six-cylinder petrol engine, part of the ignition system.

The coil is switched by the engine control module and steps the low-voltage supply up to the high-tension voltage required to fire its spark plug. One coil serves each cylinder, so a single failed coil produces a misfire on that cylinder only. Applies to both conventional petrol and PHEV builds of this engine.
