Radiator Ventilation Hose - vent hose in the engine cooling circuit, running between the radiator and the coolant expansion tank.

It carries air and coolant displaced from the top of the radiator back to the expansion tank, allowing the sealed cooling system to bleed itself and hold the correct coolant level as the system heats and cools. Fitted to the 2.0L Ingenium four-cylinder turbo diesel installation.

The hose is a moulded plastic assembly, which hardens and becomes brittle at the connector ends with age and heat cycling. A hairline split typically presents as slow coolant loss and repeated expansion tank top-ups with no obvious major leak.
