Crankcase Breather Cover - part of the crankcase ventilation assembly on the 3.0L Ingenium AJ20P6 six-cylinder petrol engine.

The cover closes the crankcase vent valve housing, sealing the chamber in which oil mist is separated from blow-by gases before they are drawn back into the intake tract.

A distorted, cracked or oil-weeping cover compromises that seal and disturbs crankcase depression. Once the mating face is damaged the cover is replaced rather than re-sealed.
