Frequently asked questions

What is CV joint grease used for?
CV joint grease is a specialist lubricant for packing constant velocity (CV) joints during driveshaft servicing. It protects the joint's bearing surfaces against wear and helps keep out moisture and grit, so it's used when repacking a CV joint or fitting a new CV boot.
How much CV joint grease is in the sachet?
This CV joint grease is supplied as a 90g sachet, typically enough to pack a single CV joint. If you're servicing both sides of an axle or doing multiple joints, you'll usually need one sachet per joint.
When should CV joint grease be applied?
Apply CV joint grease when reassembling a CV joint or fitting a replacement CV boot. Packing the joint with fresh grease on reassembly restores lubrication to the bearing surfaces and helps exclude water and road grit that would otherwise accelerate wear.
