What is the FRC3136 joint washer used for?

The FRC3136 is the stub axle gasket that seals the joint where the rear stub axle bolts to the axle case. It retains the axle lubricant and keeps water and dirt out of the hub assembly. It's supplied as a single gasket.

When should this gasket be replaced?

Replace the FRC3136 gasket whenever the stub axle is removed. Once disturbed, the old gasket won't reseal reliably, so fit a fresh one on reassembly to avoid lubricant leaks at the hub.

How many joint washers do I need?

This is supplied as a single gasket, so order one per stub axle you're working on. A rear axle typically has one stub axle gasket per side, so a complete rear-axle job usually needs two.
