Thermostaat - de regelklep voor de koelvloeistofstroom in het motorkoelsysteem, met een openingstemperatuur van 82°C.

Gemonteerd in het thermostaathuis bij de koelvloeistofuitlaat op de cilinderkop, blijft deze gesloten terwijl de motor opwarmt vanuit koude toestand, zodat koelvloeistof alleen binnen het blok circuleert. Daarna opent hij geleidelijk vanaf 82°C om koelvloeistof door de radiator te leiden en de motor op de beoogde bedrijfstemperatuur te houden. Geschikt voor zowel benzine- als dieseltoepassingen.
