Oliepompas & tandwiel voor de 3.5L V8 benzinemotor, onderdeel van het smeersysteem. De as en het aandrijftandwiel brengen rotatie over van de nokkenas om de oliepomp aan te drijven, die olie uit het carter zuigt en deze onder druk door de motor circuleert.

De as bevindt zich aan de voorkant van de motor tussen het schuine nokkenastandwiel en de oliepomp aandrijving; bij de V8 drijft dezelfde as ook de verdeler aan.

The ERC1351 oil pump shaft and gear drives the oil pump on the 3.5L V8 petrol engine. It transmits rotation from the camshaft to operate the pump, which circulates oil under pressure through the engine. On this V8 the same shaft also drives the distributor.

Where does the oil pump shaft fit in the engine?

The oil pump shaft locates in the front of the engine, between the camshaft skew gear and the oil pump drive. Because it also turns the distributor on the V8, it links the lubrication and ignition drives on the 3.5L engine.
