The con rod bearing set is the big-end bearing shells for the 2.25L four-cylinder engine. They sit between the connecting rod big-ends and the crankshaft crankpins, carrying combustion and inertia loads as the pistons drive the crank. Supplied as a complete set for all cylinders.
What does the .010 size mean on these con rod bearings?
The .010 marking means these big-end bearings are 0.010 inch undersize, for crankpins reground 0.010 inch undersize. Fit them only if your crankshaft has been ground to that size. A crank on standard journals needs standard-size shells.
