Frequently asked questions

What is this Exhaust Clamp Kit used for?
This kit seals and secures the front and intermediate pipe joints on the 2.6L six-cylinder petrol exhaust fitted to Land Rover Series II and IIA. The 2.6L inline-six runs a longer exhaust path than the standard 2.25L four-cylinder, making correct clamp fitment at both joints important for keeping the system gas-tight and rattle-free.
Which Land Rovers does this clamp kit fit?
Fits Land Rover Series II and IIA with the 2.6L six-cylinder petrol engine, at the front pipe and intermediate pipe joints. The 2.6L engine was an option on longer-wheelbase Series models. If your vehicle has the standard 2.25L four-cylinder, this is not the correct kit.
When should exhaust clamps be replaced on a Series Land Rover?
Replace clamps when you notice exhaust blow (ticking or hissing from a joint), visible corrosion or cracking, or when a clamp no longer tightens properly. Older Series exhausts are particularly prone to clamp deterioration from age and heat cycling. Replacing as a kit ensures all joints at this section are sealed correctly at the same time.
