Buitenste afdichting achterraam – rechterkant gemonteerd langs de bovenrand van het buitenpaneel van de rechterachterraam, dicht de interface af tussen het buitenpaneel en het raam.

Deze rubberen strip veegt tegen de buitenkant van het raam terwijl het omhoog en omlaag wordt bewogen, waardoor wordt voorkomen dat water langs het buitenpaneel de deuropening in stroomt en windgeruis bij het raamkanaal wordt beperkt.

What is the ALR5982 Door Outer Waist Seal and what does it do?

The ALR5982 is the right-hand rear door outer waist seal for the Land Rover Defender up to 2016 (110/130 wheelbase). It sits along the top of the rear side door outer panel and wipes against the drop glass as it moves, sealing against water ingress and wind noise.

Does this seal fit the Defender 90 as well as the 110 and 130?

This seal fits the Defender 110 and 130 only. The 90 doesn't have rear side doors with a drop glass in this configuration, so the ALR5982 doesn't apply to it.

What's the difference between ALR5982 and ALR5981?

ALR5982 is the right-hand seal; ALR5981 is its left-hand counterpart. Both fit the rear side doors of the Defender 110/130 up to 2016. If you're replacing both sides, you need one of each.
