Deze klep bevindt zich in de cilinderkop en regelt het openen en sluiten van de uitlaatpoort, waardoor verbrandingsgassen op het juiste moment in de ontstekingsvolgorde de cilinder kunnen verlaten. Het werkt via de tuimelaar en nokkenas. Geschikt voor 2.25L diesel, 2.5L atmosferische diesel en 2.5L turbodieselmotoren. Voor de Series III geldt dit voor de 2.25L diesel met de 5-hoofdlager motor (prefix 366), vanaf suffix C.

The exhaust valve opens the exhaust port to release burnt combustion gases from the cylinder, then seals it for the next cycle. It's driven by the rocker arm and camshaft. This is the exhaust-side valve for the four-cylinder Land Rover diesel cylinder head.

Which engines does this exhaust valve fit?

This exhaust valve fits the Defender 2.25L diesel, 2.5L naturally-aspirated diesel and 2.5L turbo diesel. On the Series III it fits the 2.25L diesel with the five-main-bearing engine, prefix 366, from suffix C onwards. Confirm your engine prefix and suffix before ordering.

Why do exhaust valves fail?
